Real voices
meet Pol,
Pol is a boy from Switzerland whom I met at my gym three years ago. At just 15 years old, he was dealing with a hip condition that made it impossible for him to walk on his own, so he relied on crutches.
Even so, nothing could stop him. He was incredibly motivated and kept going to the gym, doing the exercises however he could. And it wasn’t just that — he would even put the weights on himself and put them back in their place when he was done.
I found the courage to start a conversation with him, and after almost 30 minutes of talking, I discovered a young boy with incredible strength and determination. My girlfriend started crying because she felt so powerless, but at the same time, she was incredibly happy to see how motivated and determined he was.
This year, I ran into him again while he was walking along the beach with his brothers. He recognized me. I was so happy to see him. And you know what?
He was walking without crutches.
His surgery had gone well, and he had recovered. Stronger than ever, Pol is a true warrior and a role model for us all.
Never let your circumstances define what you are capable of.
meet one of the best female swimmers,
This is the story of a girl who, to me, has become the greatest swimmer in the world.
At just 8 years old, she was diagnosed with a very serious form of cancer. Her family fought as hard as they could to save her. They travelled across Barcelona, Valencia, and even Madrid, searching for the treatment she needed. The answer they received? “It’s too late.”
Hospitals refused to treat her because they believed she had no chance of surviving. But her family refused to give up. They kept searching for doctors and exploring every possible option. Eventually, they met a man named Ángel, who had left conventional medicine to focus on a natural approach based on nutrition, natural supplementation, and healthy habits. After almost a year following the treatment he recommended, they returned to the hospitals. The doctors were amazed. They called her recovery a miracle and recognized that her condition had significantly improved. This time, they agreed to proceed with the treatment.
Today, she is 17 years old and competes in swimming. She is not the best swimmer in the world; she is not a world champion; she is not ranked among the best in Spain; she has not broken any records. She just wins some races and loses others. But to me, she has already become one of the greatest. Because she did something far greater than winning a race. She fought for her life. She kept going when others had already given up on her.
To me, she is a true warrior and a role model for us all.
Some victories cannot be measured by medals.
